An Eganridge Resort Wedding – Kristi and Cody

This summer wedding, like many of the summer days thus far …. was a hot one.  Kristi and Cody had their very sunny and hot wedding at the beautiful Eganridge Resort and Golf Club on Sturgeon Lake.  The benefit of having their wedding on waters edge was the breeze off the lake made it much more comfortable and very enjoyable.

With the wedding party, their family and friends staying at Eganridge Resort, it was almost a private venue for their wedding.  I was told by staff that their wedding had booked almost every room the resort had available.  What a great, fun weekend for everyone.  From the moment I showed up to when I left, everyone was having a great time.  Guests and family were genuinely happy for Kristi and Cody and it showed in their enthusiasm which I think transferred over to their wedding pictures perfectly.

A big thank you from me to Kristi and Cody for selecting me to be an important part of their wedding.

Peterborough Parkway Place and Jackson Creek Wedding – Meghan & David

What was a perfect fall day for a wedding?  Oct 21st was.  Meghan and David picked just the right day to have perfect fall weather.

My wedding photography coverage for Meghan and David was my most common duration of approx 8 hours.  This gave me time to join both the girls and the guys while the got ready, right up to when the dancing got rock’n around 9pm. The great thing about spending time with both the ladies and the gents while they get ready is it gives me a chance to get to meet everyone before the wedding ceremony.  I find it helps to break-the-ice. And come the reception/dance I was once again working with the great husband and wife team of Terry & Gerry of Homemade Jam DJ services.

For this wedding we were back and forth between The Parkway Place on Landsdowne (which was beautifully decorated) and Jackson Creek Park (a great location for fall colours).  Even though we had to do a bit of driving between locations, the great thing about Peterborough versus a major city is traffic is never so bad that it jeopardizes the timeline.

To summarize, my time at Meghan and David’s wedding was a real pleasure.  Everyone was kind and excited for this great couple.  Working with their wedding party at Jackson Creek Park was a blast, the speeches were heartfelt and enjoyable to listen to, Meghan and Davids well rehearsed first dance was a joy to photograph and the music, dancing and Photo Booth were all a hit.  A big congrats to Meghan and David on having what I hope was a perfect wedding.

Baxter Creek Summer Wedding – Kristin & Justin

Wow!  Another Baxter Creek Golf Club wedding that was another huge success.  I’ve been very fortunate to not only get referrals from Baxter Creek but to have worked with such great clients.  Kristin and Justin’s late summer wedding at Baxter Creek was great.  Even with the threat of rain for most of the day, the weather held out and their wedding was fabulous.

Kristin and Justin did their preparations at separate residences not far from Baxter Creek.  With some simply scheduling I spent time at both of their locations capturing some great moments of the early prep and pre-wedding excitement.  Then off to the wedding venue I went for their picture perfect outdoor ceremony.  As per the usual schedule, when the ceremony was done we went through some family pics then into golf carts to explore locations on the golf course.  Once the wedding party and bride & groom pic’s were done, off we went to the dining area at the club house where everyone was already waiting for their big entrance.

Their evening was a ton of fun with heart felt speeches, singing challenges to get Kristin & Justin to kiss, the usual great meal that Baxter Creek provides and then a nice intimate first dance on the outer deck.

Below are images that I thought quickly summarized their day.  Enjoy.
