For some couples, the appeal of a winter engagement photography session cannot be denied. In the case of Christine and Jay, not only did they elect to have their engagement photo session in January, they also have a winter wedding planned at the beautiful Viamede Resort!
Even though Christine and Jay are not currently local to the Kawartha’s, they have decided to have a winter Kawartha resort wedding which for many couples is a unique and beautiful event. When asked for local destinations for their engagement shoot, I suggested it take place at a location I have used with great success in the past … the Kawartha Highlands Provincial Park. The park is located only 1 minute north of downtown Buckhorn. For a couple that is looking for an outdoor, natural, Kawartha feel to their photos, this location can’t be beat. With its natural trails, exposed rock, wooden bridge and gentle river, it is a beautiful photography destination. Oh … and perfect for those that want to include their dog!
Looking forward to their small and intimate wedding in February.
This September Jenna, Brent and I hang out at a couple of my favorite locations in the Buckhorn area for some excellent engagement photography. The weather that day was quite poor, but we got lucky and the rain happen to hold off for the time we spent together.
Their wedding is planed for this October at the very well known Viamede Resort on Stoney Lake. A great couple at a great venue … we can’t go wrong come their wedding day.
Here I’m sharing a few images from our time together at their pre-wedding engagement photo session. Thanks guys! Looking forward to Viamede Resort.
In the fall of 2015 Alison and Chad will tie-the-knot at Northumberland Heights, a beautiful retreat located just outside of Cobourg, Ontario. But before then, we had a chance this fall to complete a great engagement shoot in the town of Millbrook.
I have shot couples and family photography in Millbrook before and it is a great location if my clients live south of Peterborough because it usually isn’t to far for them to drive. Millbrook offers the popular Millbrook Conservation Area which is a great spot for taking long walks on well groomed trails. Also, Millbrook is a small quiet town with some great architecture to explore. I had a great time spending an hour and a half with Alison and Chad and exploring the area and getting to know them better. I’m really looking forward to their fall 2015 wedding as it sounds like it is going to be fun, casual day for them and their guests.
